Scott Berry
Founder, Hardscaping Division
Founder Scott Berry has been involved in Delaware’s landscape design industry for more than 30 years. Scott graduated Salesianum High School in Wilmington, DE in 1990 and immediately began his career as a young apprentice. He simultaneously enrolled at the University of Delaware, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology. After graduating in 1995, Scott founded Evergreen Hardscaping | Pool | Tree Care, expanding services to include tree care in 2019, where he continues to oversee daily operations to this day. Continuing his education through the University’s cooperative extension, Scott has obtained his ornamental, turf and pesticide applicator’s license, as well as accreditations from the Interlocking Concrete Paving Institute (ICPI) and the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA). Scott has been a longtime supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Outside of work, Scott enjoys fishing, golfing, spending time with his family and coaching his children’s athletic teams. He is thrilled to have celebrated Evergreen Hardscaping | Pool | Tree Care’s quadranscentennial anniversary and is looking forward to the next 25 years.
Sergei Dorno
Founder, Tree Division
Sergei Dorno followed a less traditional path to the tree and lawn care business. After earning a bachelor’s degree in business management and hotel and restaurant management from Wilmington University, he continued his education and obtained his masters of business administration (MBA). Sergei started his career in corporate American as an office manager for a marketing company. In 2001 he realized he wanted more; leaving corporate America and his office job behind; he pursued a more fulfilling path where he could enjoy the outdoors as a lawn and tree care expert. Soon after he started his own business, GS Landscaping & Tree Company, specializing in ground maintenance, snow removal, pruning, fertilizing, and tree work. In 2019 Sergei joined the Evergreen team as a partner, helping to broaden our services by founding the tree division. A Delaware resident for more than 25 years, Sergei is active in his community, as a parent in his four children’s schools, and in his church. He couldn’t be more excited for all that the future of Evergreen Hardscaping | Pool | Tree Care has to offer.
